May 31, 2025: From the Desk of Chairman Alex Plechash

As many of you know, I’ve been blessed with two incredible daughters.

They’re grown now, but when they were younger, I loved watching them compete—on the field, on the court, and in the classroom.

I cheered for their wins, but even more for the life lessons they learned—about discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.

And above all, I knew that when they stepped onto the field, they were on a level playing field. They were competing against other girls. That was just common sense.

This Week, That Common Sense Was Stolen

Just days ago, a biological male pitched back-to-back shutouts—14 scoreless innings—in
a girls’ high school softball playoff, eliminating the defending state champions and ending the dreams of a hardworking team of young women.

They didn’t get the chance they earned.

They didn’t get the justice they deserved.

This isn’t hypothetical. This isn’t a “culture war.”

It happened right here in Minnesota.

We talk a lot about justice:

          Justice for crime victims

          Justice for the unborn

And yes, justice for our girls

That’s why we launched a statewide petition to demand that Governor Tim Walz and the Minnesota State High School League stop allowing biological males to compete in girls’ sports.

Thousands of Minnesotans have signed.

If you haven’t signed the petition yet, I urge you to take action today:

We fought hard in the legislature to pass a bill protecting girls’ sports—but every single
Democrat in the State Senate voted against it. Not one stood up for girls. Not one had the courage to say, “This is wrong.”

This isn’t about politics.

It’s about fairness.

It’s about opportunity.

It’s about doing what’s right.

🏛️ Democrats Push Minnesota Toward Shutdown

Let’s not forget:

The DFL refused to show up for 23 days this session—and still demanded pay

✅ They rejected efforts to stop rampant fraud in our state

✅ They blocked an independent Office of Inspector General

We’re talking about billions of taxpayer dollars lost in scams—from daycare to transportation to Feeding Our Future.

🚨 Governor Walz’s response? “We’re doing fine.”

If no deal is reached, parks could close, services could stall, and state workers may face layoffs—all because radical Democrats are more afraid of upsetting their fringe national base than doing the right thing for Minnesotans.

And where is Tim Walz today?

California.

Probably shopping for more bad ideas to bring home.

🚨 We Need Change - Now

To the workers facing uncertainty...

To the families with summer plans in jeopardy...

To every girl who has trained her heart out for a fair shot...

We hear you. We are fighting for you.

     ✅ We’re not backing down.

     ✅ We’re not going away.

And we will not stop fighting until justice is restored in Minnesota.

Thank you for standing with us.

In service,

Alex Plechash, Chairman

Republican Party of Minnesota

P.S. Now it’s our turn.

Let’s show the next generation that this country is still worth fighting for. We are on the doorstep of restoring freedom and common sense in Minnesota.

We can flip the House, win the Senate, retire Tim Walz and Keith Ellison, and take back this state.
